Gallery Spinners gosip and updates

A big thank you to Joyce Taylor for hosting last nights spinning gather at her house in Fremont. Wow, is she a wonderful artist. What beautiful toll paintings she has created. Joyce also introduced us to her neighbor, Susan, a new for the first time last night, spinner. Way to go Joyce and Susan.

Word has leaked out that we will have another very young spinner joining us soon. Congratulations Sarah!

Lambtown is comming up this Saturday, July 29, 2006 in Dixon. To get driving directions just click here and enter your starting location. Admition is $2 per person, children 12 and under are free and parking is $5 or free if you want to walk. From their website: For your enjoyment, this year we have added more craft and fiber booths, competitions, animal exhibits and, as always, a variety of great food celebrating the lamb industry and the rich agricultural heritage of the region. This year's live entertainment will feature music and performances from many cultures including Basque, Spanish, Greek, Scottish, Peruvian and American Country.

September 15-17, 2006, is the California Wool and Fiber Festival at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville, California.

It looks like the next spinning gathering will be in September at a location as yet unknown to me. If you have information you would like to see posted here send an email to Nola or me and we will get it in here.

Happy spinning,
Dianne
